A high-performing dairy is only as successful as the dedicated crew behind its daily operations. Trade in Motion is seeking seasonal Dairy Operators & Herd Specialists with a strong background in milking, breeding, and crop support to join a premier 700-cow dairy operation in Illinois, USA.
If you have a deep passion for animal welfare, high-efficiency milking operations, and driving herd health, this is the perfect opportunity to elevate your skills in a world-class agricultural environment.
Technical Focus: Hands-on milking operations, livestock breeding support, and seasonal crop management.
Support: Full H-2A and TN Visa eligibility with complete processing and legal guidance provided for qualified international professionals.
Stability: Stable seasonal role with competitive hourly compensation, weekly pay, and overtime eligibility.
Relocation: Initial relocation support and housing accommodations are fully provided by the client on-site.
As a Dairy Operator and Herd Specialist, you will be the absolute backbone of the farm’s daily productivity. You will be responsible for maintaining high-quality milking standards, helping manage livestock health, and assisting with field and crop operations that feed and sustain a 700-cow herd.
Milking Operations: Execute daily milking routines efficiently, ensuring strict compliance with sanitation, mastitis prevention, and milk quality protocols.
Breeding & Herd Health: Assist with livestock monitoring, identifying heat cycles, supporting artificial insemination (AI) or breeding programs, and managing overall herd well-being.
Crop & Field Support: Operate farm machinery and equipment to support seasonal planting, cultivation, and harvesting of feed crops.
Facility Maintenance: Maintain clean, safe, and hygienic barns, stalls, and milking parlors to protect both the workers and the herd.
Education & Experience: Prior experience working on a commercial dairy or livestock farm. Background in agricultural or animal sciences is a strong asset for TN Visa pathways, while practical field experience is valued for H-2A tracks.
Core Technical Skills: Proven competency in modern milking techniques and basic knowledge of bovine reproductive cycles or artificial insemination.
Language: Conversational English proficiency (ability to understand instructions and communicate effectively in a U.S. farm environment).
