Heavy Equipment Technician / Mechanic (Varying Experience Levels)
Job Description
Trade In Motion is seeking versatile Heavy Equipment Technicians to join a premier mining product support team in the Southwest United States
This role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining major heavy earthmoving machinery used in large-scale mining operations
Key Responsibilities
Diagnostics & Repair: Utilize computerized diagnostic tools and software to identify complex malfunctions and execute repairs on diesel engines, heavy transmissions, hydraulic systems, and advanced braking systems
. Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance intervals, including structural/fluid inspections, oil changes, system flushes, and filter replacements to prevent operational breakdowns
. Field & Shop Services: Work fluidly between state-of-the-art service shops and active mining or construction sites to perform emergency field repairs under varying outdoor conditions
. Welding & Fabrication: Structural repair, torch cutting, soldering, and welding of broken brackets, frames, and major structural components
. Reporting: Maintain clean, detailed logs of all completed services, parts consumption, diagnostic readouts, and inspections for the client's corporate database

Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: Flexible
. We welcome intermediate technicians up to master/senior heavy duty mechanics . Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, electrical wiring, and heavy diesel engines is essential . Equipment Assets: Prior hands-on experience working on large-scale mining/construction equipment such as excavators, loaders, dozers, backhoes, cranes, forklifts, dump trucks, or scrapers
. Education & Certifications: Vocational or technical school training/certification in heavy equipment repair, diesel mechanics, or equivalent trade experience
. Language: Conversational spoken English proficiency
. Eligibility: Must hold a valid passport and be a citizen of the US, Canada, or Mexico with eligibility to obtain a TN Visa

Compensation, Benefits & Schedule
Pay Rate: Starting at $25.00+ USD per hour, highly scalable depending on depth of heavy trade experience

Locations: Potential placements in Tucson, AZ; Phoenix, AZ; Albuquerque, NM; or El Paso, TX
. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (excellent work-life balance with weekend stability)
